YMCA Upfronts

 YMCA Upfronts

Date: 27th July

Time: 6:00pm - 9:00pm

Location: 101 Brunswick Street, Fortitude Valley, Brisbane, QLD

Want to hear from some amazing people who have had incredible light-bulb moments? Or are you looking for a platform to share your own light-bulb moment? Or do you simply want a place to meet and mingle with likeminded people?

YMCA Upfronts is where it's all happening. Come hear inspirational stories behind incredible light-bulb moments that are currently making an impact on youth in the Brisbane community.

The evening will also give five individuals an opportunity  to make their mark on the wider Brisbane youth community. All staff and volunteers are invited to pitch a new program or strategy that positively impacts and improves the lives and well-being of youth in the Brisbane community.

This year, come learn from Holly Tattersall, CEO and founder of Women in Digital, who'll be speaking to us about her mentoring program that supports the next generation of digital leaders.

Program details:

6:00pm - Doors Open
6:30pm - Talks, pitch-offs and live entertainment
7:30pm - Meet & mingle
9:00pm - Event ends

$20 for unlimited food, drinks, and learning!

Pitch Please

When you work in an organisation that is so large, your voice can seem small.

We would like to give our young staff and volunteers a platform to be heard. The floor is open for anyone to submit a pitch for a new youth program, idea or strategy that the YMCA Brisbane should implement in the near future.

Those with program or project ideas will have an opportunity to learn the Art & Craft of Pitching, be paired with a mentor to help further develop their ideas and pitch these ideas live at the YMCA UPFRONTS in front of our panel - Alan Bray (CEO), Gary Adsett (Social Impact Manager) and Jayden Parsons (Youth Development Coordinator).

The pitches should be new programs, ideas &/or strategies that improve the lives of; positively impact; or improve the wellbeing of youth in the Brisbane community. They need to align with our YMCA beliefs and values and show that the new project could be sustainable, if implemented.

Pitches need to be submitted as soon as possible via https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/YUpP
